Adult Psychotherapy
It takes courage to choose to meet with a psychotherapist, to reach out for support and to commit to making changes in one’s life. My 20+ years of psychotherapy and social work experience has given me both a breadth of experience and a deep compassion for the people I work with. I enjoy and have experience working with individual men and women from ages 18 to 85.
I see clients who are ready to work through unresolved trauma, recurring anxiety and depression that undermines success.
I also enjoy working with clients who are looking to strengthen their relationships so that they can enjoy more trust, intimacy and joy.

I draw from a range of treatment methods, including:
- EMDR – EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing has been shown to be effective in treating trauma and accelerating therapeutic change. Click here to read more about EMDR.
- Somatic-Focused Therapy – Somatic-focused therapy utilizes the mind-body connection to resolve past trauma, decrease the level of physical pain and mental stress and achieve feelings of inner calm.
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy – CBT involves the recognition, identification and modification of negative thoughts, beliefs and behaviors.
- Mindfulness – Mindfulness based approaches are designed to deliberately focus one’s attention on the present experience in a way that is non-judgmental.
